Margarita

As you may or may not know by now, I currently serve my time behind the cocktail bar in a Mexican restaurant. As such, Margaritas are my bread and butter. I’ve made more of these than any other cocktail I can think of. As you’d expect, the recipe follows the standard sour style.

I should point out, however, that this is a margarita for the British audience, with the sour lime balanced out slightly by the sugar syrup. As far as I can tell (from customers coming into the restaurant), the Americans prefer their Margaritas to be completely sour and devoid of sugar. If that’s your bag, no problem, just take it out the recipe and no harm, no foul.
